In 2012, the organization dared to dream and came up with an innovative wheelchair race for PWDs. Held in Isiolo County, the race attracts participants from over 20 counties. In 2018, for instance, the race attracted participants from 26 counties making it the biggest in its history. In 2018 in its 7th edition, the race saw the participation of two Cabinet Secretaries, four Governors and several members of parliament, MCAs, development partners among others standard.

 The leaders signed and committed to support the implementation of the Isiolo Declaration – a milestone in NONDO’s advocacy work. They further endorsed the race to be developed to international standard

 Publishing the ‘Isiolo Declaration’ – the framework for engaging it’s the
national government and NONDO’s target counties on the practical ways
that they will foster inclusion, participation and the rights of nomadic PWDs
